Looking for an Editor for Chemistry in Australia
The Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI), the professional body for the chemical sciences in Australia, is seeking the services of an Editor for its member magazine, Chemistry in Australia, commencing early December 2023. To view a copy of the magazine, visit www.chemaust.raci.org.au. The role reports to the Chemistry in Australia (CiA) committee for the day to day management of the magazine. The role also acts on instructions from the RACI CEO as requested.
The Editor produces four issues (hard copy and digital) of the magazine per year.

The role will initially be offered for a period of 12 months, subject to operational requirements. A per issue contract will be offered to the right candidate. Should the candidate be capable of undertaking other aspects of the production process such as typesetting and graphic design, a contract will be offered reflective of these duties.
The successful applicant will have a track record of producing publications that engage and inform their target audience.
Relevant editorial qualifications and/or publishing experience is essential.Qualifications and experience in science communication, including Tertiary qualifications in physical science, ideally in chemistry would be highly regarded.
The position is a remote contractor role involving four regular peak production periods annually.
