RACI Student Membership will provide you with invaluable support and resources to help you develop towards becoming a qualified chemistry professional. You'll have access to our student mentoring program, careers development program, networking opportunities, volunteering opportunities, access to discounted events and free webinars.

And if you join as a student member you can access two years of discounted membership fees once you graduate.

Student Membership

Student Membership is designed for students studying a chemistry-related course at an Undergraduate, Honours or Masters level in Australia. By joining the RACI as a student member, you can also access two years of discounted membership fees as a Graduate Chemist if you choose not to continue your studies to PhD level. Otherwise, you are welcome to upgrade to PG Student membership.

P/G Student Membership (PhD)

If you're undertaking postgraduate study as a PhD student, join as a Postgraduate Student Membership (MRACI) and stay ahead of the competition. Enjoy a wide range of benefits and services, all designed to help you excel in your career. Existing Postgraduate student members can access two years of discounted membership fees as an Early Career Chemist (MRACI CChem) on completion of their studies.

All RACI Membership applications will be assessed by our Membership Officer, please ensure all relevant documents are uploaded Eg. CV/Diploma/PhD if you have them and select your division preferences in your member profile.

ATTENTION NEW MEMBERS: You are required to have paid for RACI Membership for at least 6 Months to be  able to claim any RACI Ticket Discounts.

  • Our Mentoring Program offers students a wonderful opportunity to gain unique knowledge and insights from industry experts, and develop their careers. Please note an additional fee of $150 is applicable but is refunded upon successful completion of the program

• Free Chemistry in Australia magazine online

  • Your membership includes online access to four quarterly issues per year of Chemistry in Australia, the RACI's Member magazine.

• Greatly discounted fees at RACI events and conferences

  • Student rates at RACI conferences are 50% of the full delegate fees and student members receive a further 20% discount.

  • As a RACI Member, you are eligible for National, State and Divisional Student Awards and funding opportunities.

  • There are a range of networking opportunities both at a local state and national level and they cover various industries, professional development and social events.
