About Chuan
I chaired the Electrochemistry Division Royal Australian Chemical Institute (EDRACI) from 2016 - 2022. Prior to the chair position, I served on the Executive Committee of EDRACI as the Secretary (2013-2016), and Treasurer (2011-2013). I led the organisation of major national and international symposia on electrochemistry ionic liquid chemistry and material chemistry, including the biennial Australasian Electrochemistry Symposiums and the 35th Topical Meeting of International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE), the world’s largest electrochemistry society. I was also the President of UNSW Chemical Society (2010 – 2012), the second oldest chemical society in Australia.
I am currently the Research Director and Flagship Program Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Green Electrochemical Transformation of Carbon Dioxide and Theme Leader in the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centres for Global Hydrogen Economy. I also serve on the Editorial Boards for eight respected discipline journals in sustainable chemistry and material chemistry.
I joined the RACI National Board in January 2023
