Welcome to our schools competitions and resources pages

The RACI is committed to providing activities and educational opportunities for the next generation of chemists in Australia, and throughout the world.
We run a number of state-based and national events, competitions and activities throughout the year that both assist teachers in explaining concepts and stimulate interest in science in students.

Australian National Chemistry Quiz (ANCQ)

Don't miss this opportunity to join over 95,000 students from over 20 countries in this unique chemistry educational quiz. Secondary school students (Yrs 7 -12) can test their Chemistry knowledge and have fun at the same time, with the quiz providing teachers a helpful tool to gauge their student's understanding of the subject. The quiz will run on Thursday 29 July 2021, and consists of 30 multiple choice questions to be answered in 60 minutes, either in paper format or online. Entries will open in Term 1 2021.

In 2021, the Quiz will be held on Thursday 29 July.

Teacher Resources

The RACI is developing a free resource database for teachers to use as a teaching aid.
It has been divided into 4 topics, and includes latest news, research articles and demonstrations that both students and teachers alike will find beneficial for their chemistry knowledge and understanding.

We will be creating these resources in 2021, with the help of our Chemical Education Groups and partner organisations. So stay tuned!
