The Tasmanian Branch supports the RACI Corporate Mission to advance
and promote the science, practice, role, and status of chemistry and
the interests of the profession of chemistry and its members.
Branch objectives have been based on the premises that the RACI
has basically three areas of obligation:
Professional

To develop the "learned society" function within the
Branch.

To increase interactions with industry, other professional
societies, and Government.
Members

To actively encourage qualified chemists to join The RACI.

To demonstrate the benefits of membership.

To constantly upgrade the level of services provided to
members.
Community
-
To promote public awareness of the contribution made by
chemistry to the well-being of the community and the role of
chemistry in everyday life.

To promote the development of well-informed community
attitudes to chemists and chemistry through the educational
system in schools.
