Young
Chemists Group
The Young
Chemists Group is specifically
for students and recent
graduates, and provides
opportunities for these
people to socialise, network
and interact with one another
as well as other members
of the chemical community.
This group
is focussed on recognising
that chemistry is not found
solely in the Department
of Chemistry at a given
university, but is a crucial
part of all science. We
actively encourage involvement
of "non-chemists" in our
activities, so that more
people can recognise the
importance of a good strong
chemical grounding in so
many career choices.
Activities
Consult the Events
page for details on upcoming
meetings.
Careers Night: During
the year we host an evening
for final year students
and recent graduates to
meet and network with industry
leaders and employment
agency representatives.
Quiz Night: This has
become a very popular social
event for young professionals
and those aspiring to be.
