Branch objectives have been based on the premises that the RACI has basically three areas of obligation: Professional - To develop the "learned society" function within the Branch.
- To increase interactions with industry, other professional societies, and Government.
Members - To actively encourage qualified chemists to join The RACI.
- To demonstrate the benefits of membership.
- To constantly upgrade the level of services provided to members.
Community - To promote public awareness of the contribution made by chemistry to the well-being of the community and the role of chemistry in everyday life.
- To promote the development of well-informed community attitudes to chemists and chemistry through the educational system in schools.
