Concessional insurance policies

For those members who need insurance protection for their income, business expenses, life or accidents/trauma, an arrangement has been concluded with Australian Casualty and Life (part of National Mutual Life Association of Australia) which gives financial RACI members a 10% discount on their premiums.

Why should you need life and income protection insurance? Providing food, clothing, housing and paying bills are important factors in day-to-day living. But what happens if a serious illness or accident prevents you from providing those essentials? These risks cannot be controlled but you can plan for them.

Discounted retirement and investment advice

All RACI members, irrespective of age, need to financially plan for their future. To assist members in this regard, The RACI has arranged for the prominent financial planning group, RetireInvest to provide a range of financial planning services at discounted rates. RetireInvest can help you by:

More favourable and flexible Professional Indemnity cover

In addition to these new savings initiatives for RACI members, the Institute has re-negotiated an earlier contract with Spencer Thomas and Partners P/L Insurance Brokers, on behalf of Australia's largest professional indemnity insurer. The professional indemnity available to financial RACI members will be more closely tailored to individual members' differing needs, so that you only have to pay (on a sliding scale) for the amount of individual exposure. An RACI member who consults as an individual (not as part of his/her employment) only occasionally should not have to pay as much as members who consult or work on their own on a more regular basis. The premiums themselves have been reduced for RACI members. There are also extensions available such as loss of documents, libel and slander and Trade Practice and Fair Trading Acts.
