Chemeca Student Travel Bursaries
The Industrial Chemistry Division of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute offers a number of bursaries to student members of the RACI to support their attendance at the Chemeca 2011 conference.
The value of each bursary will not be less than $250.
In order to be eligible for a RACI Chemeca Student Travel Bursary, the applicant must be a bona fide student and present a paper at Chemeca 2011. A copy of the paper should be submitted with the application, along with a statement by the Head of Department confirming the bona fides of the student.
Entries will be judged on the following:
- Originality of the research described in the paper
- Contribution of the research to the industrial chemistry or process chemistry field
- Innovative approach to problem solving
- Scientific standard of the paper

RK Murphy Medal
The R.K. Murphy Medal is the most prestigious honour awarded by the Industrial Chemistry Division of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. The award consists of a medal, an official citation and $2500.
The R.K. Murphy Medal will be awarded to a member of the Institute for their outstanding achievement in process chemistry, chemical engineering or related areas in the chemical industry (including commercial or marketing functions). The award may be given to an individual or to a small project team, but not a company.
