Pearson RACI Chemistry Educator of the Year Award
Pearson is the world’s leading learning company. Pearson Australia have established this joint award with the RACI for academics whose primary activity is teaching in the chemistry discipline.
Award
This award is designed to encourage developing teachers, and is open to tutors, lecturers and senior lecturers (academic levels A, B and C) teaching in undergraduate or postgraduate University courses. There will be a monetary prize and a trophy. The prize money must be used to further develop the winner’s contribution to chemistry teaching e.g.:
- Payment toward an overseas trip to attend a relevant chemistry conference;
- Funding the development of a teaching program or software;
- Funding the development of innovative teaching pilots;
- Funding the development of a “new” teaching project.
The winner will be required to submit an article for publication in the RACI journal “Chemistry in Australia” on his/her contribution to chemistry teaching.

Submission: Emailed in a single PDF document to awards@RACI.org.au for the attention of Robyn Taylor. Receipt will be acknowledged by return email.
The decision of the judges will be subject to the approval of the RACI Board. RACI awards are judged on a relative to opportunity basis. The Board decision is final and no discussions or correspondence will be entered into.
