The Royal Australian Chemical Institute Division of Chemical Education

Citation Winner: Ernie Nunn

Ernie Nunn has been awarded a Citation for activities in the Chemical Education Group (Victorian Branch) and the Division of Chemical Education, over about 30 years. His contributions to the Victorian Branch include:

• Committee member almost continuously over about 30 years. Served on a number of occasions as Chair and secretary.
• Coordinator of the Vic Chemists in schools programme over 5-6 years, Contributed to 5 chemists in schools booklets.
• Joint coordinator of the "Chemfest" programme for 3-4 years involving a week long series of lectures and activities for schools, including site visits.
• Monash liaison for the STAV Science Talent Search at the Blackwood Hall over 4 years.

His contributions to the Division of Chemical Education include:

• Member of the Division Committee for around 8 years.
• National conference organising committee including secretary for the National Convention in Melbourne
• Royal Society of Chemistry correspondent on Chemical Education in Australia for about 6 years
• Contributed papers and posters at several conferences.
