There are three awards presented by the Cereal Chemistry Division. The most prestigious is the Guthrie Medal, presented every three years for an outstanding contribution to the Australian cereal industry.

The Founders Award is presented annually for service to the Australasian Cereal Industry and the Service Award, presented annually in recognition of exceptional and sustained service to the Division.

F B Guthrie Medal

The F B Guthrie Medal is the Cereal Chemistry Divisions highest award. The Medal, together with an honorarium, is presented every three years to an individual in recognition of meritorious services to cereal chemistry in Australia or New Zealand.

Nominations, including the CV of the nominee and a supporting case should be forwarded to the Convenor of the Awards Committee no later than six months prior to the date of the Division's Annual Meeting in the year in which the award is presented.

Founders Award

The Founders Award recognises individuals for their service to the cereal industry in Australasia.

Founders Awards are offered annually. Nominations should be forwarded to the Convenor of the Awards Committee no later than six months prior to the date of the Division's Annual Meeting in the year in which the award is presented.

The Service Award is made in recognition of exceptional and sustained service to the Cereal Chemistry Division. Also known as the "Mystery Award", or the "Megazyme Award" after its current sponsor, it is presented at the Annual Conference dinner.
