DSTO leads S&T efforts to protect Australian Defence Force personnel against chemical, biological and radiological threats and significantly contributes to national security initiatives.
This senior leadership position provides scientific direction, guidance and management within DSTO’s Chemical Defence Branch.
LEAD approximately 15 Defence scientists in the implementation of research commensurate with DSTO priorities, including hazardous chemical analysis and detection, contamination control and remediation measures, physical protection against respiratory and cutaneous exposure to toxic materials.
LIAISE with Defence, other government departments and international partners, to deliver a balanced chemical science research portfolio.
