Description	Dampier Salt Limited (DSL) is a global leader in producing and exporting solar salt. Based on the northwest coast of Western Australia , our operations include Dampier, Lake MacLeod and Port Hedland. Recognised for its leadership in the industry, the salt operations are currently enjoying continued operational growth. We are currently seeking a Process Chemist to join our Dampier team. Reporting to the Process Superintendent, the principal purpose of this role is to oversee the laboratory and to provide general support to the Dampier Operations, including significant involvement in the Washplant operations. The aim of the role will be to maintain product quality and production during a period of market growth. As a process chemist, you will be responsible for the operations of the laboratory. You will provide comprehensive analysis of shipping salt samples, and issue DSL Certificates of Analysis. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain quality assurance of procedures and equipment to retain the ISO9001 certification. This role requires tertiary qualifications in science or chemistry, and a sound understanding of sampling techniques. You will also have previous experience with an HPLC/IC, AAS and anodic stripping. Strong written and oral communication skills are highly desirable.
